Repeat engagement.
A company that hires from a department twice is telling you something about those students that no satisfaction survey will. It is the most useful number on the institutional dashboard, and it is almost never reported.

Profile completion is the earliest indicator of a department falling behind — months before it shows up in placement numbers.
By department
The gap between departments is usually large and rarely about student ability. Making it visible is most of the fix.
Beyond placement %
Internships are counted separately from final placements, because for a second-year student they are the outcome that matters.
